SEEING AND KNOWING

Scripture Reading - John 13:21-27

21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
22 Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake.
23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake.
25 He then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it?
26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly. KJV

Notice that Jesus knew what was going on in the life of people around Him, Notice that John knew details about others around him that he didn’t even pray for, simply because of his proximity with Christ. John’s closeness to Jesus was not by accident. John stayed the longest with Jesus in His hours of temptation. This is because John stayed close to Christ, because he loved Him. My friend, child of God, would you like to know secrets? Would you like to pick-up inside information about people close to you. Then I encourage you to spend adequate time with God. When you love someone you talk to them often, think of them often, and yes you spend time with them. In this intimacy you learn one another, smell one another, touch one another. All this exchanging of information brings you two into oneness, the Holy Bible calls it knowing Him (holy pure communion). As you developed this fellowship His light will shine brighter within you and you will see things clearer and you will see things going on in the lives of others and be able to discern whether you can help them or not. The not comes from if they are open to receive God's Word or your counsel about God's Word. For our days of seeing and knowing are increasing in these last days and all it takes to be successful during these times is proper time spent with our friend, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
